FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — On Sunday, Nov. 20 at 10 p.m., FOX Sports Florida, the regional television home of the Florida Panthers, will debut an all-new episode of “Inside the Panthers” upon conclusion of the Panthers vs. New York Rangers game.

“Inside the Panthers: Keith Yandle” goes in-depth with one of Florida’s top defensemen in his first year with the Cats. Keith grew up in Milton, Mass. and learned the game of hockey from his dad Buddy and brother Brian. A legendary high school coach, Buddy instilled a hockey DNA in Keith at a young age and guided Keith to follow in his brother’s footsteps to Cushing Academy where he laid the foundation for his game today. Keith’s passion for hockey only grew as he excelled through the Quebec Major Junior League where he led Moncton to the championship game.

From Ray Borque’s guidance at Cushing Academy to eventually being drafted by NHL Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky, Keith has been inspired by hockey legends throughout his life. It was in Arizona where he made a name for himself as he led the Coyotes to the Western Conference Finals. After a few years in Arizona, Keith made his way to the Big Apple to play for the New York Rangers before Florida acquired his rights in the offseason. Keith’s made a career of being a quarterback on the power play, but it’s not all about being savvy on the blue line as his toughness has become a calling card having not missed a game since March 26, 2009.
