The Greenhouse Scout will work hands on monitoring the crops, ensure accurate reports of the crops health and wellness are relayed to management, and implement IPM strategies designated by the grow team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Monitoring and scouting of pests, diseases, and beneficial insects
  • Reporting pest populations, irrigation irregularities, and mechanical issues seen while scouting
  • Monitoring efficiency of products used for control measures.
  • Maintaining and monitor traps to provide feedback on pest counts to the growers
  • Verify pest and disease infestation trends
  • Coordinating with management on all biological programs and implementation
  • Verifying / validating of scouting reports to confirm accuracy and reliability
  • Maintaining up to date records and reports.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING


Required:

  • Age 21 or over
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
  • 3 years of experience in Agriculture

Preferred

  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of horticultural pests and diseases is a plus, on the job training will be provided
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management abilities


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Being exposed to extreme hot and humid temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to stand, squat, and kneel for long periods of time in small spaces that can be high in heat, high in humidity, wet or dry.
  • Exposure to water during the duration of the shift is common with cannabis growing environments
