GLASGOW — After an eleven-month wait, Glasgow guard Elli Bartley made it official Wednesday, signing her letter-of-intent to play college basketball at the University of North Florida in Jacksonsville, Fla.

Bartley originally committed last December, choosing UNF over Lipscomb and Eastern Michigan.

“All those long practices and extra hours I put in, I know it is always going to be worth it,” Bartley said. “I’m excited. They are great people down there. They make me feel like I am at home. It’s a unique environment, so I am excited.”

The 5-foot-7 guard enters her final season at Glasgow with her name scattered throughout the school’s record books. She is the all-time school leader in career 3-point field goal percentage (41 percent) and is second in career made 3-pointers (208) and fifth in career assists (303).

She was the starting point guard as a freshman on a Glasgow team that won the All ‘A’ state title and finished as the Region 4 champion. She made the All ‘A’ state all-tournament team as a freshman and has made the All-District 15 and All-Region 4 teams the last two seasons.

Bartley enters her senior season with 1,185 career points, eighth all time in school history.

She said she is happy to have her signing out of the way so she can focus on the last year of her prep career.
