With another multi-goal outing from Tori Grambo, Bartram Trail is roaring into the girls soccer state semifinals.
The sophomore winger scored two more goals Tuesday for the Bears, breaking open a tight contest and lifting Bartram Trail past host Niceville in the Region 1-4A final.
Grambo, committed to Florida, now has 11 goals in her past five games after scoring in the 44th and 74th minutes to dispose of Niceville (18-2-2), the 2016 state runner-up ranked 10th in the nation by MaxPreps.
Bears fullback Victoria Stachowiak scored the opening goal, snapping the deadlock seconds after halftime.
Bartram Trail (16-3-4) will now take on national power Montverde Academy at Bear Stadium Friday. Montverde’s only loss this season came in Northeast Florida, a 4-1 defeat at the hands of national No. 1 St. Johns Country Day on Dec. 16.
Stanton’s rock-solid defensive run came to an end Tuesday night in the Panhandle.
The Blue Devils allowed three goals for the first time all season in a 3-0 loss at Gulf Breeze (24-1-1), which avenged its loss in last year’s regional final.
Stanton (19-3-2), the state finalist last year, had only conceded five goals in its previous 23 games this season and had allowed just one goal since Nov. 27.
The Bolles goal rush surges on.
Amelia Emas netted a hat trick and the Bulldogs added to their dizzying goal tally Tuesday, beating host South Walton 8-2 in the Region 1-2A championship game.
Ariana Munoz scored twice from midfield, Olivia Candelino and Cami Dade also found the net and freshman Abby Lynch notched her first varsity goal. The Bulldogs have now scored 21 goals in their three regional victories.
Jess Garey and Natalie Wilson scored for South Walton (16-2-1), which hadn’t lost a game
