GAINESVILLE, Fla. – With just 14 days until the start of the 2020-21 regular season, Florida women’s swimming team took to the Ann Marie Rogers Swimming and Diving Pool at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on Friday afternoon for their final Orange and Blue Intrasquad Meet of the preseason.
The Blue team squeaked out a 133.5-125.5 victory, winning eight of 14 events. The squads would split the relays as the orange team started off the meet with a victory in the 400 medley and the blue team capped off the competition combining for a 200 free relay win.
Two weeks ago on Oct. 2, the Orange team walked away with a 150.5-108.5 victory, posting 10 wins.
Sophomore Tylor Mathieu led the Blue squad in its victory, picking up a pair of wins in the distance events. In the first individual event of the day, Mathieu would finish way ahead of the rest of the competitors to secure a 1,650 win. The 2020 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-American would additionally go on to post the fastest time in the 500 free.
Fellow sophomore class member Kathleen Golding led the Orange team with two victories as well. Golding would out touch orange teammate
