Moore, OK – In less than a month, the 2018 season of professional bass fishing will be underway when the FLW Tour visits Florida’s Lake Okeechobee in late January.

Following the opener in the Sunshine State, the next eight months will be packed with 16 regular season events between the Elite Series and the FLW Tour, two championships, and two specialty tournaments.

Here’s a look at some interesting observations about the 2018 schedules for the Bassmaster Elite Series and the FLW Tour:

2. April 6-9 – Sabine River (Orange, TX)
3. April 26-29 – Grand Lake (Grove, OK)
4. May 4-7 – Kentucky Lake (Paris, TN)
5. May 17-20 – Toyota Texas Fest (Lake Travis, TX)
6. June 21-24 – Mississippi River (La Crosse, WI)
7. June 29-July 2 – Lake Oaho (Pierre, SD)
8. July 26-29 – Upper Chesapeake Bay (Havre de Grace, MD)
9. August 23-26 – St. Lawrence River (Waddington, NY)
10. September 20-23 – AOY Championship (Chatuge, GA/NC)
11. September 25-28 – Classic  Bracket (Carters Lake, GA)

1. January 25-28 – Lake Okeechobee (Clewiston, Fla.)
2.  February 22-25 – Harris Chain of Lakes (Leesburg, Fla.)     
3.  March 8-11 – Lake Lanier (Gainesville, Ga.)  
4.  April 12-15 – Lake Cumberland (Burnside, Ky.)      
5.  April 26-29 – Lewis Smith Lake (Jasper, Ala.)          
6.  May 17-20 – Kentucky Lake (Gilbertsville, Ky.)
7.  June 28-July 1 – Lake St. Clair (Detroit, Mich.)       

– There are three overlapping dates between the Elite Series and FLW Tour in 2018 (2015 was the last time that there was not an overlapping tournament between the two tours).    The Elite Series third stop of the season (April 26-29) on Grand Lake will take place at the same time as the fifth FLW Tour stop of the season on Lewis Smith Lake.  B.A.S.S.’ Toyota Texas Fest will
