So this is my go-to store for the last year. However, I don't think I will shop there again. They were already more expensive than their competitors when I got there. But they cleaned up and made interior of the store much more welcoming and got a few above average strains in dablicator pens, which I really like, so I stuck around even though they are barely open Saturday and closed Sunday. But recently they have jacked up their prices even higher. They claim discounts up to 50% but not every day and you need to spend hundreds on multiple products to get their discount (usually 30%). But the new prices are astronomical and getting that 30% discount if I spend $300 still leaves whatever I buy about a third higher than the next store, where I can buy a single cartridge with compatible test results for $40 instead of spending $77 each on it after buying 3 at $98. Not sure what the ownership is thinking, but their expectations are higher than what they can get me

It was my first time at the location, so they explained the entire check-in process and how I get my account set up. The look and feel of the facility was unlike any other rec or med dispensary I have been in. It was a very cool soft contemporary vibe with lots of greenery and natural wood. The touchscreen menu was very insightful and fun to play with while my account got setup. I was called over to my girl Cynthia, and the fun began. The medical wax I purchased from Columbia Care shouldn’t even be allowed to be sold to patients. Nasty brown mids color and tastes worst than something I extracted myself. Extremely unrefined I wouldn’t even feel safe inhaling this product. I can’t really speak on their flower as this experience completely turned me off from ever going back.

It was immediately the consistency of wax and was nearly impossible to get off the parchment paper without ripping. It won't even go back to shatter unless its immediately out of the freezer, and still then it gets waxy so fast I can't get all of the medicine off. Had to throw half of it out, never had this issue at competitors.

They go out of their way it seems to make you uncomfortable. They will make you remove your glasses, hat, and anything else but then force you to wear a mask. They will then tell you how everything they do is the Law. Other Dispensaries do not lock the front door, make customers remove their eyeglasses, make customers remove their hats, force all people to wear a mask(no exceptions, even health reasons) When you ask any questions at all about any of these things, then you get BS delivered in a very unprofessional way and told it is the LAW or a state Statute or some other BS. Even though it is not the Law, and it can be proven that these Columbia policies are NOT Law. So this place has no problem making up things and even after being sick and in pain for years and finally getting some relief, I made to feel like I'm a criminal as soon as I walk in the door.

I was put off when I first arrived because I had to touch/ring a metal door bell before entering, I guess this location hasn’t heard of the on going pandemic? I was instructed to give them my card and was then handed a clip board and pen (both of which were not cleaned prior to me using them and there was nothing to indicate that has ever happened) and told to fill out the information the same exact information is located on the medical marijuana card. Seemed a bit redundant, but nothing I could do. I was greeted at register 6 by Cynthia who was not very friendly and a bit abrasive to put it lightly. I asked her a few questions and was rudely interrupted when I didn’t realize I had to answer the “where did you find us?” question. She wasn’t very knowledgeable, but luckily there was a competent employee (nice guy) who was able to help. After I left, I received a call from a number I didn’t recognize which I answered and it was the receptionist from Columbia Care, I was called because she Wanted to inform me that “I left my card on accident”. I was a in traffic and already a few miles down the road, so I asked “would tomorrow be ok?” She replied “Ummm ok, I’ll keep it at the front desk”. That’s when I realized she didn’t hand me back my card nor did she even attempt to. I called back because she was weirdly adamant about it being my fault that I forgot the card and she said “I put it on the counter, you must not have seen it. We can mail it back to you if you’d like”. I told her to please do so, I won’t be coming back. The flower I got was also very low quality and nothing like the OG Kush and Chemdog I was accustomed to (I was a Red Card Holder in Colorado)I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.EDIT:Wayne,I can tell by the way you're addressing an unhappy customer that a lot of this stems from your inability to conduct yourself professionally. I can ASSURE you that the doorbell was NOT cleaned after I touched it and again it was not CLEANED AFTER the person who came in behind me. I'd be willing to bet whatever you'd like that it was NOT cleaned as frequently as you stated. if you actually were intelligent enough to do your due diligence all it would take is you reviewing your security camera footage to see that I am without a doubt 100% correct. I'm sorry if technology isn't something to comes easy to you and your generation I am sure you team attempted to pass the blame to me rather than own up to their inability to provide quality customer service, especially if you're the person setting an example for them to follow. Purchasing Marijuana Products at Cannabist
During your first visit, you’ll be required to complete intake forms. This lets the dispensary staff confirm your patient status and see what you were allotted by your medical marijuana doctor.
Upon arrival at this dispensary, you’ll enter a designated waiting area before going into the retail area with staff. The dispensary staff work with you to explain all of the cannabis products available. Budtenders will make recommendations that are based on your doctor’s recommendation.

So this is my go-to store for the last year. However, I don't think I will shop there again. They were already more expensive than their competitors when I got there. But they cleaned up and made interior of the store much more welcoming and got a few above average strains in dablicator pens, which I really like, so I stuck around even though they are barely open Saturday and closed Sunday. But recently they have jacked up their prices even higher. They claim discounts up to 50% but not every day and you need to spend hundreds on multiple products to get their discount (usually 30%). But the new prices are astronomical and getting that 30% discount if I spend $300 still leaves whatever I buy about a third higher than the next store, where I can buy a single cartridge with compatible test results for $40 instead of spending $77 each on it after buying 3 at $98. Not sure what the ownership is thinking, but their expectations are higher than what they can get me

The medical wax I purchased from Columbia Care shouldn’t even be allowed to be sold to patients. Nasty brown mids color and tastes worst than something I extracted myself. Extremely unrefined I wouldn’t even feel safe inhaling this product. I can’t really speak on their flower as this experience completely turned me off from ever going back.

It was immediately the consistency of wax and was nearly impossible to get off the parchment paper without ripping. It won't even go back to shatter unless its immediately out of the freezer, and still then it gets waxy so fast I can't get all of the medicine off. Had to throw half of it out, never had this issue at competitors.

They go out of their way it seems to make you uncomfortable. They will make you remove your glasses, hat, and anything else but then force you to wear a mask. They will then tell you how everything they do is the Law. Other Dispensaries do not lock the front door, make customers remove their eyeglasses, make customers remove their hats, force all people to wear a mask(no exceptions, even health reasons) When you ask any questions at all about any of these things, then you get BS delivered in a very unprofessional way and told it is the LAW or a state Statute or some other BS. Even though it is not the Law, and it can be proven that these Columbia policies are NOT Law. So this place has no problem making up things and even after being sick and in pain for years and finally getting some relief, I made to feel like I'm a criminal as soon as I walk in the door.

I went out of my way to try Columbia Care in Sarasota, Florida as I’ve read and heard good things about them. I was put off when I first arrived because I had to touch/ring a metal door bell before entering, I guess this location hasn’t heard of the on going pandemic? I was instructed to give them my card and was then handed a clip board and pen (both of which were not cleaned prior to me using them and there was nothing to indicate that has ever happened) and told to fill out the information the same exact information is located on the medical marijuana card. Seemed a bit redundant, but nothing I could do. I was greeted at register 6 by Cynthia who was not very friendly and a bit abrasive to put it lightly. I asked her a few questions and was rudely interrupted when I didn’t realize I had to answer the “where did you find us?” question. She wasn’t very knowledgeable, but luckily there was a competent employee (nice guy) who was able to help. After I left, I received a call from a number I didn’t recognize which I answered and it was the receptionist from Columbia Care, I was called because she Wanted to inform me that “I left my card on accident”. I was a in traffic and already a few miles down the road, so I asked “would tomorrow be ok?” She replied “Ummm ok, I’ll keep it at the front desk”. That’s when I realized she didn’t hand me back my card nor did she even attempt to. I called back because she was weirdly adamant about it being my fault that I forgot the card and she said “I put it on the counter, you must not have seen it. We can mail it back to you if you’d like”. I told her to please do so, I won’t be coming back. The flower I got was also very low quality and nothing like the OG Kush and Chemdog I was accustomed to (I was a Red Card Holder in Colorado)I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.EDIT:Wayne,I can tell by the way you're addressing an unhappy customer that a lot of this stems from your inability to conduct yourself professionally. I can ASSURE you that the doorbell was NOT cleaned after I touched it and again it was not CLEANED AFTER the person who came in behind me. I'm sorry if technology isn't something to comes easy to you and your generation I am sure you team attempted to pass the blame to me rather than own up to their inability to provide quality customer service, especially if you're the person setting an example for them to follow. I'm sure you clean things, but not after each use which is what I addressed in my review. For you to insult me and refer to my statement as asinine further solidifies the fact that the reason for my sub-par experience is because you yourself need more training on how to properly interact and engage your customers.Do you even know how to sort through your reviews because there are 4 other people who have left

I went out of my way to try Columbia Care in Sarasota, Florida as I’ve read and heard good things about them. I was put off when I first arrived because I had to touch/ring a metal door bell before entering, I guess this location hasn’t heard of the on going pandemic? I was instructed to give them my card and was then handed a clip board and pen (both of which were not cleaned prior to me using them and there was nothing to indicate that has ever happened) and told to fill out the information the same exact information is located on the medical marijuana card. Seemed a bit redundant, but nothing I could do. I was greeted at register 6 by Cynthia who was not very friendly and a bit abrasive to put it lightly. I asked her a few questions and was rudely interrupted when I didn’t realize I had to answer the “where did you find us?” question. She wasn’t very knowledgeable, but luckily there was a competent employee (nice guy) who was able to help. After I left, I received a call from a number I didn’t recognize which I answered and it was the receptionist from Columbia Care, I was called because she Wanted to inform me that “I left my card on accident”. I was a in traffic and already a few miles down the road, so I asked “would tomorrow be ok?” She replied “Ummm ok, I’ll keep it at the front desk”. That’s when I realized she didn’t hand me back my card nor did she even attempt to. I called back because she was weirdly adamant about it being my fault that I forgot the card and she said “I put it on the counter, you must not have seen it. We can mail it back to you if you’d like”. I told her to please do so, I won’t be coming back. The flower I got was also very low quality and nothing like the OG Kush and Chemdog I was accustomed to (I was a Red Card Holder in Colorado)I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Picked up some Master Kush and Granddaddy Purple. Very pleased with the flower. You can only buy two per visit and you can't use discounts for flower. Those are my only two complaints. Master Kush is definitely strong with an awesome taste.

Best customer service I've experienced in the Sarasota dispensaries!The Patient Consultants/Sale Associates genuinely seem to care and listen to your individual needs. I'm looking forward to October, when they will carry flower.Convenient location with nice parking lot.
