KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — Luis Carpio hit a run-scoring single in the seventh inning, leading the St. Lucie Mets to a 4-3 win over the Florida Fire Frogs in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

The single by Carpio capped a two-run inning and gave the Mets a 4-3 lead after Andres Gimenez scored on an error earlier in the inning.

Kevin Kaczmarski drew a bases-loaded walk in the third inning and Ian Strom hit an RBI single in the fifth to give the Mets a 2-1 lead. The Fire Frogs came back to take a 3-2 lead in the sixth inning when Garrison Schwartz hit a two-run single.

Ryder Ryan (1-0) got the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Thomas Burrows (2-2) took the loss in the Florida State League game.
