ROLE SUMMARY

The Compliance Manager is responsible for the execution of the compliance process for the Fluent Cannabis Care grow facility located in Tampa, FL.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews weekly inventory audits.
  • Conducts monthly inventory audits.
  • Audits BioTrack records to identify trends, errors, and areas of concern.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits of the processing and cultivation areas (DOH, DACS, food safety, OSHA).
  • Conducts regular compliance training throughout the year.
  • Drafts responses to notices of violation and new variance requests and submits them to Vice President of Legal and Compliance for review.
  • Serves as point of contact with DOH/DPS, DACS, and other government entities when they conduct unannounced inspections
  • Serves as point of contact for site cultivation and processing teams on compliance matters
  • Works with Vice President of Legal and Compliance on matters relating to the site’s DOH and DACS licenses

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be familiar with BioTrack THC or be willing to undergo training immediately
  • Experience in one or more areas a plus: law/government, compliance auditing, food safety, OSHA, agriculture, and cannabis
  • Experience with Monday.com a plus
  • Microsoft Office certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of Florida and U.S. federal laws relating to compliance in the cannabis industry
  • Experience performing supervisory responsibilities or highly responsible work relating to tasks assigned to this position, or any combination of education and experience provided the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3-5 years of related full-time work experience or college degree in regulatory compliance or a closely related field

PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Compliance: 3 years

Cannabis: 3 years

Management: 3 years

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Must pass a drug screening

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has supervisory responsibility of the compliance team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The company will ask you to help out in other departments depending on company needs. This means that you may not always work in the department that you were hired, teamwork and getting product out to patients is the goal and this means helping out where you are needed is crucial to your success as well as the company’s success.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. {Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs}. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position may and can require long hours and some weekend work.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
