GAINESVILLE, Fla. –J.C. Deacon, the head men’s golf coach at the University of Florida, released a finalized version of the Spring 2021 schedule, the program announced Friday.
The Florida men’s golf team will compete in five regular season tournaments taking place from January to April, including the annual Gators Invitational presented by VyStar, with postseason play beginning in April and continuing through May.
“We are extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to play an elite schedule this coming Spring. We will be visiting some of the best golf courses in the southeast and playing against the top teams in college golf,” said Deacon. “A big part of our program at the University of Florida is playing a high-level schedule. We certainly have that in front of us. Our guys have been working really hard to be ready for the challenge.”
Florida will open the 2021 Spring season right down the road from UF in Jacksonville, Fla. at the Timuquana Collegiate. Held at the Timuquana Country Club, this marks the first time the Gators will participate.
The Gators will then return home to defend their title at the Gators Invitational presented by VyStar. Taking place from Feb. 14-16, Florida will welcome teams from various conferences
