ROLE SUMMARY
Fluent Cannabis Care is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist, someone with the capacity to help us build and expand our digital community, and successfully manage our e-commerce channels. We are looking for a versatile Digital Marketing Specialist ready to be a team member and expand their knowledge in the cannabis industry. Our ideal candidate will execute tactics and participate with the creative in the development of strategies and ideas to achieve online success.

Primary responsibilities range from website management, mass emailing software (Hubspot preferably), social media planning and engagement, digital community engagement through review sites, cannabis listings services, and direct messaging through email and other channels.

The Digital Marketing Specialist must also have experience working in digital marketing environments or creative teams and comfortable with the day-to-day marketing dynamics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with creative team, build and manage digital communities through social media and cannabis listing sites.
  • Coordinate and manage e-commerce channels, including establishing successful workflow between technology vendors and internal departments like retail and call center.
  • Manage Fluent’s email platform for mass marketing emails and SMS platform for mass marketing SMS.
  • Successfully establish connections between brand building, loyalty, and generating sales.
  • Manage the website development teams of getfluent.com, cansortium.com, and other projects. Develop a documented knowledge base of the functionalities of all websites and servers within the company.
  • Participate and coordinate with digital partners to improve our digital ecosystem. For example, Point of sales, E-Commerce, Rewards Program, Investor Relations, and Online Retail vendors.
  • Working with vendors to coordinate the proper functioning of targeted online marketing, SEO and cybersecurity.
  • Measure and optimize the customer experience on all websites. (Experience with WordPress a plus)
  • Preparee and delivers competitive analysis reporting as requested.
  • Assists in developing/reviewing/enhancing training materials, presentations, sales tools, and job aids.
  • Help develop internal communications guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Knowledge in digital marketing.
  • Knowledge in digital community management.
  • Knowledge in retail operations and their integrations with online retail stores.
  • Knowledge in basic web development either Front or Back end, and API functionalities. Experience with WordPress a plus.
  • Knowledge of marketing/advertising functions and principles.
  • Knowledge of project management processes and disciplines.
  • Ability to work well with others and to be an effective team player.
  • Able to demonstrate a sharp understanding of consumer insights and use analytical thinking to turn insight into ideas and growth opportunities.
  • Ability to identify a customer’s needs and provide strategic solutions.
  • Strategic thinking with regard to marketing and product.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Knowledge in digital marketing.
  • Knowledge in digital community management.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry and/or other regulated industry i.e. pharmaceutical, alcohol, tobacco, etc.

SKILLS

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and basic computer programming.
  • Strong skills in creating reports.
  • Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality within the website, email, and SMS databases.
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize the digital team performance.
  • Ability to create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Web Development or related fields.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital marketing, web development or related fields.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
