Reporting to the VP of Infrastructure and IT Operations, the Director of Infrastructure is responsible for the efficient and secure operation of Infrastructure services across the enterprise including Network, Telecom, Public Cloud, O365 and security technologies.

The Director sets and communicates strategic and tactical goals driven by the company’s business requirements and by IT priorities in infrastructure services. The Director helps set and enforce departmental SLAs, policies and procedures to ensure the availability, integrity, and stability of all IT infrastructure services. The Director will also be responsible for communicating and providing technical design, driving innovation and providing architectural leadership to their teams, consisting of internal, managed service and contract resources, to ensure high quality deployment of cloud services, telecom, O365 and network infrastructure that meet business requirements and internal standards.


Responsibilities include:

  • Sets the strategy and direction of infrastructure services
  • Stays abreast of technology advancements and vendor offerings in infrastructure services
  • Provides technical leadership and oversight to their team
  • Manages the O365 environment using best practices
  • Configures and manages the Azure AD solutions for user access, permissions, group policies, MFA, Security, Compliance, and SSO
  • Manages and governs the Azure Public Cloud environment
  • Sets the network strategy and deploys, supports and manages the network infrastructure and circuits, ensuring resiliency and cost effectiveness
  • Sets the carrier management strategy and manages the ongoing contracts, usage and billing
  • Manages e-Discovery and Legal hold requests for Legal and Compliance teams
  • Oversees installations and configurations of multiple networking devices (i.e., Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Service Modules, security appliances, IP addressing, etc.)
  • Develops and oversees infrastructure usage policies
  • Manages IT Staff to insure service levels and availability of all infrastructure services
  • Manage outages, identifies root cause and resolves all infrastructure issues within allowed service levels
  • Set change control processes and oversees change control, production acceptance and incident management processes
  • Manage after hours and on-call support
  • Manages vendor contracts, relationships and SLAs
  • Responsible for hiring, staff development, employee reviews, etc.
  • Develop and manage to department Cap ex and Op ex budgets and forecasts
  • Optimize resourcing to meet service delivery and cost objectives, through use of staff, managed services and contractors
  • Ensure cross training and documentation and operational procedures are in place to meet service delivery objectives
  • Develop departmental KPIs and manages and reports to these metrics
  • Develop service catalogs and SLAs for services provided and ensure performance to the SLAs
  • Maintain tools and infrastructure to supported versions
  • Create and enforce best practices across the organization for domain and network-level security policies.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of IT Infrastructure management Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering is required
  • 2+ years managing Azure Cloud or other public cloud environment
  • 3+ years managing 0365
  • Knowledge or Understanding in Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Security Information and Event Managers (SIEMs)
  • Experience with implementation of SSL Certificates and Authentication methods (SAML, Kerberos, LDAP, NTLM)

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic coupled with a high sense of urgency
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work varied hours, nights, days and weekends when necessary
  • ITIL certification preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of WiFi networking technology, including emergent standards
  • In-depth knowledge of Wide Area Networking technology and experience operating large, global WANs
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time, delivering expected business results
  • Works well under stress with tight timelines for deliverables
  • Knowledge or Understanding in Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Security Information and Event Managers (SIEMs)
  • Experience with implementation of SSL Certificates and Authentication methods (SAML, Kerberos, LDAP, NTLM)
  • Subject to background check per state cannabis requirements
