ROLE SUMMARY

The Edible Specialist will work closely with most functions in the organization including operations, procurement, sales, and compliance to lead the team through the commercialization of our client’s innovation and renovation product lines. Responsibilities of the Supervisor will include direct supervision of hourly associates, implementing and maintaining processes related to the preparation of final forms of edibles products including, labor planning, manufacturing, packaging, inventory transfers, payroll, performance management.

HOURS

* Shift B – Friday-Sunday– 6:30am-7:15pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Innovate and formulate recipes for edible products

· Heating confections according to recipe specifications

· Using molds to create confection shapes and textures

· Upholding workplace to food safety standards

· Working with a team to meet quantity expectations and deadlines

· Ensures packaging process is done correctly

· Providing feedback on new products or recipe improvements

· Preparing, maintaining, and cleaning all equipment

· Maintain quality control over all ingredients for production of products

· Oversee preparation of gels; samples taken by the lab to determine THC content

· Oversee the completion of batch records

· Lead production efforts of edible products

· Ensure all processes are being followed

· Organized, methodical, strong steering, analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environments

SKILLS/INTERESTS

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail

· Effective time-management and ability to multi-task

· Able to demonstrate basic technical math skills, basic grammar and technical writing skills

· Employee must have basic organizational capabilities, as well as be able to run basic computer tasks.

· Must be a multitasker, with the ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus

· Organization and initiative, good communications skills, proactive, problem-solving, time management, discretion and confidentiality are essential attributes

· Teamwork- collaborating with others to improve overall standards of work and service

· Ability to easily use computers, and Microsoft office programs including MS Outlook, Word

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Must pass a drug screening

Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license

3 or 4 years of production and or kitchen line experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has supervisory responsibility of the Kitchen Department

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The company will ask you to help out in other departments depending on company needs. This means that you may not always work in the department that you were hired, teamwork and getting product out to patients is the goal and this means helping out where you are needed is crucial to your success as well as the company’s success.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. {Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs}. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

TRAVEL

Travel is not required but may be called upon if company requires so.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma/ GED

2 + years of packaging experience or related field
