Events and Social Media Specialist – Curaleaf – Cutler Bay, FL

Summary: The Events and Social Media Manager will be responsible for overseeing, planning and executing all marketing events for Curaleaf in the State of Florida. The position requires constant communication with Regional Managers, Outreach Team, Store Manager, and reports to the Marketing Director. Position requires managing state Facebook and twitter accounts in content creation and customer service.

Job Brief: We are looking for an Events and Social Media Manager to help us plan and oversee all marketing events for the State of Florida and manage all social media platforms for the brand.

Candidate must be able to travel throughout the state as needed as well as work nights and weekends.

Key Job Functions:

  • Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
  • Come up with strategies to enhance the ROI on events
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
  • Pay vendors for their participation in the event
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
  • Order and track promotional materials for events
  • Lead promotional activities for the event
  • Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.)
  • Analyze event performance and prepare metrics presentation
  • Define company brand through events
  • Researching events at a state-wide level that would best suit our needs and goals
  • Assist Human Resources with job fair opportunities and promoting via digital platforms
  • Scheduling and creating in store events to promote products, promotions and patient base support
  • Review event requests from store managers, and Outreach Team
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local associations, chambers and advocates to promote brand awareness
  • Purchase/order event supplies when needed
  • Provide/collect post event photos, data, etc
  • Provide up-to-date calendar of events to marketing to coordinate event promotions
  • Research industry market for event opportunities
  • Attend local and national trade shows for industry insight and research
  • Track Event ROI
  • Assist with all Marketing Department needs

Additional Job Functions:

  • Develop Content for social media and marketing materials

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and content development
  • Photoshop and Adobe programs
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be flexible to accommodate schedule changes. May require work after normal business hours
  • Salesforce knowledge is a plus but not required

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Recent and direct experience working in a communications position within marketing.
