Bill Wood, a former Florida cross country runner and a Marine Corps veteran, will serve as the honorary Mr. Two Bits when the Gators host Alabama-Birmingham on Saturday.

Volleyball hits the road

The No. 3 Gators volleyball team will play its lone match of the week at Texas A&M on Wednesday. First serve is set for 6 p.m. ET.

Women’s basketball falls to Arkansas State

Plagued by turnovers and sloppy defensive play, the Gators women’s basketball team lost 70-69 to Arkansas State on Tuesday to fall to 1-1 on the season. Florida will next play Florida State on Friday to cap a three-game home stand to open the season.
