247Sports takes a look at the biggest recruiting weekends around the country.

Nobody is doing it bigger than the Gators.

Florida (6-2) is sitting on the nation’s No. 16 recruiting class with several coveted targets expected in Gainesville for Saturday’s noon game against South Carolina (5-4).

The nation’s No. 1 receiver per 247Sports in Donovan Peoples-Jones is the headliner, and the five-star U.S. Army All-American has the Gators in his lead group with Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State and Florida State. UF is a school Peoples-Jones has rooted for, for a long time. He was in Gainesville during the summer and is excited to get back. The Wolverines are the heavy 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite.

I continue to like my Crystal Ball forecast in favor of the Gators to land Lakeland (Fla.) High Top247 receiver James Robinson, the nation’s No. 10 player at his position per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard defensive end Jordan Wright is one that could potentially be on campus and Florida is looking to make up ground with quickly after offering last month. Wright has over 30 offers, many including the Gators allowing him to play basketball on the next level as well.

In addition to those blue-chippers, Jim McElwain and his staff will be trying to work their spatula a bit on several others committed elsewhere.

Florida has as big a need on the offensive line as any program in America and they’re hosting two of America’s best offensive tackles in Alabama commit Alex Leatherwood and Miami verbal Navaughn Donaldson. Sources around the Gators program believe if anyone is going to flip the five-star Leatherwood, UF has the best chance. Both FSU and Florida are trying to work on Donaldson.
