A Florida Gators football recruiting update for the week of November 13, 2016.

Jim McElwain’s team needed to come out and put on a show for the home fans after falling to Arkansas on the road. And the Gators did just that with their 20-7 victory over South Carolina and former head coach Will Muschamp. More importantly, they pulled out that win with quite a few high-profile recruits on campus to witness it.

Four-star wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones enjoyed his official visit to Florida this past weekend, but it still seems as though Michigan is the favorite to land him.

Five-star offensive tackle and Alabama commit Alex Leatherwood took an unofficial visit to Gainesville, and the Gators could get an official visit from him next month. That trip would have to be a big one if Florida is going to flip him from the Crimson Tide.

Four-star athlete Tray Bishop was also on campus. The Auburn commit is high on the Gators, and it seems as though McElwain’s staff has a great shot at flipping him from the Tigers.

Four-star defensive end Zach Carter, 4-star defensive tackle Fred Hansard and 3-star running back Malik Davis were some of the current Florida commits to visit this past weekend.
