Florida recruiting picking up

The Florida coaching staff will be on the recruiting trail in full force this week for the spring evaluation period.

It began last Sunday for college coaches across the country, but no player evaluations took place in the Sunshine State. Monday is the first allowable day for non-contact in spring football, and contact practices start Saturday.

Florida made a few stops last week to visit out-of-state recruits, including 5-star athlete Quavaris Crouch (Charlotte, N.C.), 5-star linebacker Henry To’oto’o (Concord, Calif.) and 4-star tight end Luke Deal. The Gators are trying to get Crouch and To’oto’o on campus soon, while Deal visited Gainesville two months ago and plans to make his decision on May 25.

Head coaches are not permitted to be on the road during this period, but Mullen will have his assistants hitting high schools throughout the state to evaluate Florida’s top 2019 targets and potential prospects for the 2020, 2021 and 2022 classes.

Here are the in-state recruiting territories for Florida’s coaching staff, according to 247Sports:
