Florida Institute of Technology’s starting senior quarterback was suspended indefinitely this week after his arrest in connection with an early Sunday auto wreck, hours after the Panthers won their final game of the season.

Marquis Gordon Robins II, known on campus as Mark Cato, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence with property damage and driving under the influence.

Patrol officers were called about 3:55 a.m. Sunday to investigate a crash into a house in the 2500 block of Dairy Road. Police arrived at the scene and found a white Lexus with blood covering the driver’s side airbag and steering wheel, reports show. Both airbags had deployed, a police report indicates.

The Lexus hit a fire hydrant before hitting the house’s porch, reports show.
