Florida's largest medical marijuana provider just made a deal to carry edible baked goods
click image Florida’s largest medical marijuana provider has made a deal with a Colorado company to bring cannabis-infused cookies, caramels, brownies and other products to the state’s more than 180,000 patients.
Trulieve announced Monday its partnership with Love’s Oven, a Denver-based company that creates gourmet baked goods, craft concentrates, all natural beverages and artisan confections. The medical cannabis company recently signed a deal in January with another Colorado-based company specializing in marijuana-infused edibles called Binske, whose products include French-inspired pâte de fruit candies, fruit leather, honey and olive oil.
Both deals have been approved by the Florida Department of Health, but no specific products have been approved yet, says Trulieve spokesperson Rachel Rivera.
“Trulieve is still waiting on rules from the [Department of Health] to submit products for approval,” Rivera says in a statement.
click image While Trulieve will provide Love’s Oven products exclusively in Florida, the medical cannabis company adds there can be “no assurance as to the timing and scope of regulatory approval for the edible cannabis products, when and if it is obtained.”
