Gators in the NFL- Week Four

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Week four of the 2020 NFL regular season featured 50 former Gators across 22 teams.

A pair of former Gator defenders, Jon Bostic and CJ Gardner-Johnson, led their respective team’s defense this weekend. 

Bostic tallied a career-high 14 tackles in his start at linebacker for the Washington Football Team. Over the course of his eight-year career, Bostic has made 456 tackles, 26 tackles-for-loss and 7.5 sacks in 90 games for five different teams. 

Gardner-Johnson made a team-high six defensive stops to help the Saints earn their second win of the season against the Lions in Detroit. 

Brian Poole intercepted his sixth-career pass in his start at safety on Thursday night for the New York Jets. He would go on to add four solo tackles.

Five former Gators will hit the field in two separate Monday night primetime games. The Kansas City Chiefs, highlighted by Demarcus Robinson and Tommy Townsend, will hit the gridiron in New England against the Patriots at 7:15 p.m. The Chiefs will look to remain undefeated and move to 4-0 on the season.
