Gators to Host Pair of Top-35 SEC Teams

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida will be back at home to host another set of elite SEC teams this weekend beginning with No. 32 LSU on Friday at 5 p.m. ET at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
Then on Sunday, the No. 2 Gators and the No. 7 Aggies will take the court at Noon and compete for the top-spot in the SEC. Both teams are undefeated in conference play with five matches remaining and are riding impressive winning streaks. Florida enters the weekend having won its last nine matches, while Texas A&M hasn’t lost in 13 matches and also holds a 20-match winning streak in SEC play, which dates back to 2017.
Florida has won 41 of its last 45 matches at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex dating back to 2016, with a perfect 7-0 record to start the spring campaign.
The Gators are in the midst of 17-straight matches against ITA Top-50 teams and has not started SEC play 8-0 or better in 14 years. In 2005, Florida started SEC play 11-0 and finished as regular season conference champions, with only one loss.
Florida holds a 70-21 mark in dual singles matches and is 20-15 over nationally ranked individuals.
