Gators to Play Two Fall Exhibitions
The Florida baseball team will play USF in Lakeland on Oct. 28 and host Jacksonville on Sunday, Nov. 4.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida baseball team will play USF and Jacksonville in a pair of fall exhibition games, in accordance with a recent NCAA rule change.
The Gators will play USF in Lakeland on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. The game will be hosted by the Lakeland Flying Tigers – a minor league affiliate for the Detroit Tigers – at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium.
The following week, Florida will host Jacksonville on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. at McKethan Stadium.
Admission is free for the Jacksonville game. Ticket prices are below for the exhibition game in Lakeland.
Beginning August 1, 2018, Division I collegiate baseball teams are permitted to play two exhibition games during the non-championship segment of the season.
The Gators will begin fall practices on Monday, Oct. 8. Weekly practice schedules will be posted on FloridaGators.com the Friday before each week.
