Harvest Manager Job Description:
Summary Responsible for management of harvest and post-harvest operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead and manage the planning and execution of the harvest schedule as set in the annual grow plan.
- Lead and manage the post-harvest (dry, trim, and cure) operations.
- Lead and manage the harvest and post-harvest team, and using Key Performance Indicator data, achieve department quantity, quality, and productivity objectives.
- Perform all harvest and post-harvest tracking and recordkeeping functions within the seed to sale electronic system remaining in compliance with the department’s rules and regulations.
- Responsible for training of the harvest and post-harvest team.
- Manage harvest scheduling to accurately project all requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to maximize high-quality yield with efficiency and attention to harvesting costs.
- Ensure harvest and post-harvest equipment is maintained and cleaned.
- Monitor environmental controls, assuring conditions are optimized for flower drying and curing.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for harvest and post-harvest operations, ensuring adherence to company and regulatory compliance regarding green waste disposal.
- Assist state and local government auditors and law enforcement with inventory, sales and compliance audits.
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements.
- Adhere to company policies regarding employee health and safety.

Education and/or Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a plant harvesting or food processing operation. Practical experience and knowledge in plant cultivation and/or a Diploma or Degree in Science/Horticulture/Production or equivalent experience a plus.
