ROLE SUMMARY

Fluent is looking for a detail-oriented cook for our manufacturing team that is in charge of the Marijuana Infused Products (MIP) area. Responsibilities of the Head Cook will include implementing and maintaining processes related to the preparation of final forms of edibles products including, planning, preparation, cooking and packaging.

HOURS

Shift B – Friday-Sunday – 6:30am-7:15pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and prepare raw ingredients, tools and candy molds
  • Lead the edibles operations
  • Maintain and clean all equipment, tools
  • Log all data onto dashboards.
  • Prepare all documents such as compounding sheets, daily checklist
  • Help create SOPs for new products and improve current processes
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft products, project management tools, dashboards
  • Work with managers to create work orders in the ERP system
  • Submit reports and updates on the status of projects to the Production Managers for weekly production meetings.
  • Uphold workplace to food safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be comfortable with testing products to ensure standards are met.
  • 3+ years of experience making gels, caramels, hard candy, chocolate etc strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience researching, developing, and creating new products strongly preferred.
  • Critical thinking, very organized, and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience with Lab grade equipment such pH meters, brix meters, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

SKILLS

  • Experience working with baked goods.
  • Experience in the Cannabis space strongly preferred.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
Must pass a drug screening

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. {Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs}. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
