HR Representative – GrowHealthy – Lake Wales, FL

Position Summary

The HR Representative supports the HRBP with the day-to-day functional responsibilities for Grow Healthy facilities. The HR Representative carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training and development, recruitment of non-exempt positions, and HRIS Personnel transactions. Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, onboarding and new hire orientation training and development, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and completing personnel transactions.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals across all levels
  • Directly responsible for all aspects of recruitment, on-boarding and retention of nonexempt employees

within multiple business units

  • Indirectly oversees management of Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and Personnel Activity Log (PAL) for hourly recruitment
  • Directly responsible for AAP compliance for non-exempt positions
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Affirmative Action plan
  • Provides management team support by assisting with the resolution of business challenges and process improvement
  • Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
  • Ensure New Hire Onboarding and 90-day New Hire Review is completed with employees
  • Conduct monthly audit/review of HRIS to ensure accuracy of employee information
  • Submit weekly Staffing Scorecard update to the HRBP
  • Responsible for developing annual calendar of training and ensuring execution of training programs
  • Responsible for reviewing Performance Reviews for non-exempt employees
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the overall pre-employment I-9, and Background Check compliance process
  • Conduct monthly internal audits of I-9s, including but not limited to, ER log, pre-employment, AAP, and other required processes
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent inter-personal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience
  • Clear understanding of the recruitment life-cycle processes
  • Must have experience on mapping and sourcing resumes from all mediums
  • Strong skills related to recruitment activities such as search firms and job boards
  • Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of data mining and internet searches
  • Experience in general HR functions is preferred


  • Travel is required for this position

Required Education and Experience

  • Three plus years of Coordinator with Recruiting experience
  • Strong understanding and ability to recruit in all levels of the organization
  • 2-year degree from a recognized college or university
