The Instructional Media Designer is responsible for making sure that the materials created to support internal programs we launch for our employees (leadership and functional development, diversity and inclusion, recruitment marketing, etc) are dynamic, engaging, and have strong visual appeal. Projects span across print and digital media, including infographics, training materials, in-store digital displays, video, motion graphics, and more. Success in this role can be measured by leader and participant feedback, employee engagement, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Develop a consistent, modern look-and-feel for Parallel’s signature personal development programs that aligns with company branding and style guidelines
Work with Learning Experience Designers and Training Managers to enhance the effectiveness of their programs by designing professional, polished training tools, including course/presentation materials and leader/participant guides
Design visually engaging creative training and digital assets that promote new programs and initiatives for our employees, including e-learning, short videos, infographics, motion graphics and more
Design compelling recruitment marketing materials in partnership with our Talent Acquisition team, including in-store displays, “take-home” brochures/guides and more
Edit video content and footage into dynamic, attention-grabbing pieces that can be used across various channels (social, internal communications, in-store, etc)
Become an “advanced” user of our various training and communications platforms, including Workplace by Facebook, SAP Litmos (LMS), in-location digital displays, and leverage them to deliver engaging content to employees across the company
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING
3+ years in design-centered roles preferably in Learning and Communications, or equivalent experience in Training, Marketing, or related fields
Strong visual design and layout skills
Deep knowledge of various design and publishing tools (e.g. Canva, PowerPoint, Articulate Rise, Photoshop, Camtasia, Adobe Products etc)
Basic video editing skills preferred, but not required
Ability to transform raw or partially designed content into dynamic, engaging tools that inspire excitement and participation from others
Comfort working autonomously while being accountable for deadline-driven deliverables
Age 21 or over (Required)
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Valid Government-Issued Photo ID (Required)
