Laboratory Technician – Medmen LLC – Eustis, FL

Role Summary

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for preparing samples, analyzing, interpreting, and recording data in a timely fashion. Using a range of software and chemistry techniques, the Lab Tech will conduct research and analysis of raw materials and finished products. The Lab Tech is also responsible for generating Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for various products (This is an indoor environment with noise, fumes, and machinery vibration at times).

Key Responsibilities

  • Use a range of chromatography software (Chem station) and equipment, specifically High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), to carry out quality control testing
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Follow proper chain of custody procedures (documentation and security) for supplies and ingredients
  • Assist and support product manufacturing,
  • Ensure proper dosage amounts
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any HPLC and/or production issues that may arise
  • Maintain laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies
  • Ensure proper chemical storage and handling
  • Ensure all science, manufacturing and applicable notes are recorded in company approved notebooks
  • Ensure all science notebooks are properly logged and/or secured each day
  • Follow, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sample extraction and analysis
  • Attend training of new procedures and equipment
  • Follow quality control protocols relating to but not limited to: dose accuracy, minimization of medicine loss, prevention of cross contamination, safe storage of raw medicine, final products and chemicals
  • Enforce and maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA, GMP and GLP
  • Optimize workflow and perform continuous quality improvement on methods and equipment
  • Report and present results and generate COAs
  • Work in a high paced and rapidly evolving industry

Education and Experience

  • Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Chemistry, or related field
  • 2 plus years of experience within a Scientific Lab
  • Experience with Cannabis is a plus – THC, CBD, CBN, etc.

Pay: $35,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
