Lais Araujo is SEC Offensive Player of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four goals in a two-match span gives senior Laís Araujo the Southeastern Conference Offensive Soccer Player of the Week honor.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four goals in a two-match span gives senior Laís Araujo the Southeastern Conference Offensive Soccer Player of the Week honor.
 
The other players picking up weekly honors are Arkansas’ Haley VanFossen (Defensive) and Mississippi State’s Zakirah McGillivary (Freshman).
 
Araujo’s Performance Notes: At Kentucky, her three goals in an 18-minute span marked the Gators’ quickest hat-trick in 17 seasons. Her three goals versus Kentucky marked her fourth consecutive goal (dating back to the 9-16 Vanderbilt match). She is one of seven in UF history to score four or more consecutive goals. Hat-trick at Kentucky was first for Gators since 2015 and 13th in the program’s 24 year history to record a hat-trick. Her hat-trick at Kentucky was the 35th for Florida. Scored in her third consecutive match with her second-half goal versus LSU. Leads Florida with five goals and 13 points

Florida has one match next weekend and it is at Mississippi State.
