Job Title: Maintenance Planner and Coordinator

Department: Facilities

Reports to: Reliability Manager

FLSA Status: Regular- Non-Exempt

Location: Higdon, Florida

Role Summary:
The Maintenance Planner and Coordinator will be the person responsible for the management of our Computer Maintenance Management System in our Higdon, FL facility. This individual will be the key holder of our maintenance system and will be responsible for the implementation, development, and upkeep of the system.

The Maintenance Planner and Coordinator will report to the Reliability Manager in Midway, FL.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting routine internal audits of maintained records and documentation

Oversees the daily processing of maintenance and calibration documentation by management of the electronic and paper files

Provides support for internal and external audit requests of maintenance documentation

Interfaces with CMMS customers daily

Primary customer contact for CMMS related requests, updates, status, and guidance

Daily processing of maintenance and calibration work orders includes; issuing Tag ID?s, generating, closing, and filing work orders

Maintenance of electronic records and paper files which includes; performing a quality check of records and files to be processed, performing CMMS system updates, and collaborating with customers as needed for clarification and guidance

Responsible for facilitating work order review meetings

Generating and distributing status reports to respective parties

Generating preventive maintenance plans and set it up on our CMMS.

Responsible for job scheduling, staff training, and bill of materials

Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs in the production areas.

Receive, inspect, stock all shipments, and record in CMMS in a timely manner

Ensure critical supply (min/max), inventory cycle counts done according to department policy, using required controls and test counts

Confirm contract/project-specific items are separated, counted, properly stored, and secured

Identify and report to management slow-moving inventory and obsolete material

Implement process improvements in the areas of inventory and supply

Perform miscellaneous material handling activities which may include reorganizing, repacking, consolidation, clean-up, or as instructed

Other duties as assigned

Programming and troubleshooting experience within an automated machinery environment

Proficient working knowledge of all types of PLC?s, Packing Equipment, Conveyors, Vacuum Pumps.

High proficiency in mechanical understanding

Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, Management Systems, etc.

Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges

Ability to learn new processes quickly

Proven problem-solving skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment

3-5 Years of experience as a Maintenance Planner

1-3 Years of Experience with Inventory Control

Must be meticulous and able to work independently and safely


High school diploma or equivalent required

AA/BA/BS in a technical field and/or 2-4 years of related experience in a GMP environment preferred

High degree of PC literacy and knowledge of Microsoft office

Valid Driver?s License or ability to obtain one

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance

Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks

Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)

Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions

Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
