There are multiple chronic conditions for which there are minimal abilities to treat, let alone cure such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, spasticity and ALS to name a few. In 2016, Florida legalized medical marijuana for multiple qualifying conditions while allowing the certifying physicians some leeway. Certifying physicians in Florida are allowed to recommend medical marijuana for “similar conditions” to those listed with the Medical Marijuana Use Registry.
Multiple forms of medical marijuana are available for ease of use and patient preference.
While not a cure, the appropriate use of medical marijuana often provides significant relief from many of the negative effects of multiple medical conditions and treatments.
