ROLE SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for being the weekend manager on duty. This role works closely with the inventory and manufacturing managers on making sure the weekend operations run smoothly. They will also be responsible for working with the packaging leads on making sure all responsibilities are being completed efficiently.

SCHEDULE

  • Hours- Thursday and Friday 8:30am-5:30pm Saturday and Sunday 6am-7pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing all packaging leads over the weekend and sending daily reports to upper management
  • Ensuring the fleet team goes out on time Saturday morning
  • Communicating any issues with the Inventory and Manufacturing Manager and the Director of Operations
  • Clearly communicating expectations with all teams
  • Ensuring all teams are aware of the priorities and the order they need to be completed
  • Moving employees to assist various departments to ensure priorities are completed
  • Managing product intake for inbound transfers
  • Monitoring Biotrack to ensure all products are in the appropriate room
  • Assisting with any inventory needs to keep the packaging teams on task

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high-stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment when a situation requires.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Possess knowledge of food industry best practices, including food safety and GMP standards.
  • Ability to motivate team to accomplish and/or exceed goals.
  • 3+ years of high-volume manufacturing, packaging and assembly operations.
  • Lead, motivate and guide the team
  • Manufactured cannabis packaging/processing experience and Spanish language skills a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Management experience

SKILLS/INTERESTS

  • Excellent time management skills, multi-tasking abilities and capable of organizing tasks within shifts.
  • Ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

REQUIRED EDUCATON and EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.

3 plus years of progressively responsible experience managing a packaging operation with supervisor experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree

3 years of progressively responsible experience managing a packaging operation with supervisor experience.
