Attorney General Pam Bondi released her 2016 Holiday Shopping Guide Wednesday, offering suggestions for how not to get ripped off this year.

“This year, the guide includes tips on purchasing items online and avoiding charity scams. We have also included a list of items recalled by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission in the past year, specifically focusing on children’s toys and items that pose particular risk to children,” Bondi wrote in the introduction to the guide.

“These products have been recalled by their manufacturers because of safety and health concerns. Products recalled include toys, furniture, sporting goods, and other home products that may be unsafe for children.

“I urge you to review this list for unsafe items that may need to be removed from your home. Please also keep this guide handy and review it as you purchase and receive gifts this holiday season,” Bondi wrote.

Bondi also referred consumers to her fraud hotline, at 1-866-9-NO-SCAM, or 1-866-966-7226.
