POLICE BLOTTER: 'Knock and search' operation reveals marijuana operation – The Northwest Florida Daily News
NICEVILLE — An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office “knock and search investigation” revealed a marijuana-growing operation at a Niceville home.
Two Niceville women were taken into custody during the investigation.
Deputies knocked on the door of the Nathey Street home and asked to walk through it.
One of the women gave them permission to walk through the home, which is when deputies saw marijuana stems, a smoking device and a pill in the living room. In the laundry room, they found lamps, potting soil and a reflective material to reflect heat toward plants.
There were no plants at the time, but the woman admitted to having grown marijuana there recently.
A search revealed more pills and paraphernalia, according to their Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest reports. They also found one marijuana plant, which one of the suspects told them was a “male” plant, which does not produce smoke-able marijuana, the report said.
