Pro Football Focus does things a little different in their team rankings, listing the teams who are best “right now.”

So, it stands to reason why their arrangements are a little different than other polls, such as the Associated Press Top 25 and the Amway Coaches Poll.

This rating puts a lot more emphasis on the here and now, meaning Florida is punished harshly for its 31-10 loss to Arkansas on Saturday, while the Razorbacks are rewarded handsomely.

In the Pro Football Focus poll by Kevin Connaghan, Florida is unranked and Arkansas is at No. 22, a big difference from the two major polls, which has Florida ranked in both and Arkansas on the outside.

Last week on PFF, Florida was at 11 and Arkansas was nowhere to be found. The loss dropped Florida from 9 to 16 in the coaches’ poll and from 10 to 22 in the AP.

The site also has high marks for Arkansas center Frank Ragnow. Connaghan lauds the center in the write-up, breaking down the Hogs inclusion by saying:

The Razorbacks found life difficult against the leading lights of the SEC East, but had no such problem with the frontrunner in the SEC East, dispatching Florida 31-10. Arkansas center Frank Ragnow was again prominent, earning an 89.8 overall grade, and 90.1 in the run game. That raises Ragnow’s grade to 89.2 for the season, the best mark among centers in the nation.

Meanwhile, he of course has Alabama rated at No. 1, with Auburn at No. 7, Texas A&M 10th, and LSU at 23.
