Production Planner – iAnthus Capital – Lake Wales, FL

GrowHealthy is a looking for a qualified Production Planner to organize site-wide production according to Safety, Quality Standards, and Demand. The incumbent will ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner. An excellent production planner is well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them. They are organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are required for the role. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.


Responsibilities

  • Oversight and completion of manual data entry and expand on manual spreadsheets and production planning
  • Maintenance, management, and direct oversight of all cultivation, extraction, and packaging planning scheme for the entire value stream of the operation
  • Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels, work with Procurement Specialist to optimize inventory availability through supply chain
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
  • Maintenance, management, and direct oversight of all cultivation planning schema for the assigned region
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
  • Able to make recommendations to leadership on manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to ensure production demand is met
  • Produce reports based on findings and performance of production
  • Work with senior leadership to identify labor and other resources needed for upcoming production operations as demand increases
  • Schedule semi-annual, monthly, weekly, daily, production schedule to meet demand
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
  • Keep records organized and readily available for leadership
  • Collaborate with quality control, purchasing, production, inventory control and other staff as necessary to successfully complete production requirements


Education and Experience

  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain value stream including Inventory Management and best Production practices and procedures
  • Capability to lead (indirectly) different departments as required
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to ever changing systems in a fast-growing company
  • Knowledge and experience with cGMP and Good Documentation Practices as they pertain to a regulated industry


Requirements

  • Proven experience as production planner, minimum 3 years planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to create a front to back production schedule, cultivation through finish good
  • Ability to adapt to ever changing systems in a fast-growing company
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control practices
  • Prior experience as a production planner in the industry preferred
  • Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel, and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Highly self-motivated, meticulous, unquestionable integrity, and diligent
  • Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time
  • Associate Degree preferred; Further education or APICS certification is preferred but not required


Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
