The Regional VP of Demand Planning (Southeast) is responsible for providing the game plan as part of the S&OP process for achieving the company’s revenue and gross margin objectives through development of assortment planning, market analytics and optimal inventory utilization. The VP will manage and lead the buildout of the S&OP process with metrics for a hyper-growth industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations and FP&A to develop an accurate demand forecast for all SKUs in the designated area of the business
  • Ensure consistency of forecast of forecast assumptions across the region, including base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, product changes and seasonal volumes
  • Responsible for understanding and reinforcing manufacturing, marketing and financial processes to link and align with forecasting processes
  • Provide guidance and oversight of SKU level forecasts to ensure alignment with business direction and consistency with market trends
  • Communicate demand forecast plans and the assumptions behind them through the supply chain
  • Update and monitor process key performance indicators and diagnostics to ensure continual forecast improvement efforts and prepare written analyses, documentation, reports, or other data of quality requiring minimal supervisory review
  • Drive allocation strategies, processes, and procedures to achieve the financial objectives of the company
  • Identify and address retail opportunities in specific dispensaries by analyzing sales and inventory performance as well as space productivity
  • Ensure in-stock position on core and key items; available to support new dispensary openings
  • Work with the FP&A Team on the development of the budget for each quarter and for the yearly budget planning process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or similar field
  • Minimum of 15 years of related experience in leading Demand and/or Supply Planning organizations with preferred experience in participating in Product and Executive level S&OP processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Will engage with Executives in the C-Suite
  • Experience in building what-if simulations for forecasting with ability to teach others
  • Strong proficiency with ERP Systems with emphasis on planning systems, MS Dynamics (F&O) a plus
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics and KPI’s
  • Ability to be agile and adaptable to changing priorities, lean thinking knowledge preferred
  • Attention to detail with ability to understand “big picture”
  • Start-up experience, a plus
  • Team player with the ability to gain consensus through collaboration and open dialogue
  • A sense of urgency, high energy, and hands-on approach
  • Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
