Reinhart Foodservice, a Chicago-based company which has plants throughout the East and Central time zones, announced plans to close its Jacksonville plant in a letter to the mayor’s office this week.

The closure will take place during the first quarter of 2017; 66 jobs will be lost in total, with layoffs beginning on Jan. 22.

This is a non-union shop, so “bumping rights” do not exist for these workers, which means that regardless of seniority, all workers will find themselves looking for new jobs in the next few months.
