Senior Accountant – Trulieve – Clearwater, FL

Position Description

This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be assisting in the month end close process and analysis.


Responsible for managing the month end close checklist

Assist in journal entries, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, analyzing general ledger accounts, and preparing and analyzing data reports

Review, redesign and/or identify additions or deletions to accounts in the general ledger to ensure that the information reported properly reflects the company’s financial position

Maintain control of the chart of accounts and cost centers

Assist in monthly internal department financial reporting including consolidations

Develop and maintain a proper system of internal controls to ensure timely and accurate financials

Review and document current accounting practices and procedures. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity

Provides ad hoc reports and special project assistance as needed


Must possess at least five (5) years of experience in a Big4/Large Regional and/or SEC environment

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required

CPA required

Experience with a large ERP system (SAP preferred)

Experience in process improvement through automation

High-level understanding of US GAAP or IFRS and strong technical accounting skills

Strong Excel knowledge and aptitude

Ability to partner cross functionally with partners across an organization

Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and critical thinking
