IN A NUTSHELL…

The Corporate Communications team at Parallel is responsible for overall enterprise communications strategy, external stakeholder and media relations, internal communications and engagement, corporate digital strategy, business communications campaigns, executive visibility, issues and crisis communications to enhance the company’s reputation building across multiple stakeholders.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, the successful individual will be responsible for leading a comprehensive integrated content and internal communication strategy that drives employee engagement and meaningful stakeholder connection to the company’s vision, mission, values, and business strategy. This role will partner closely across a matrixed organization and at all employee levels to plan, create and deliver multi-faceted, strategic enterprise communication initiatives that inform, inspire, and reach our employee across the U.S. through a multi-channel content strategy. This role will act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team to ensure a holistic view of enterprise-wide communications and a consistent delivery of the Parallel voice in a high growth environment. The candidate must have proven experience in strategic plan development against KPIS, campaign-focused communications execution, finding and telling compelling stories, multi-media content creation, and internal and corporate channel optimization.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Strategic Planning

Lead development and execution of annual, quarterly, and monthly internal communications campaigns and calendar management to amplify key themes, initiatives, benefits, policies and Parallel mission, vision and values to all employees.

Create a framework for a regular cadence of communication by CEO and other ELT leaders to employees through a variety of channels: Town Halls, webinars, Workplace platform, videos, written materials, multi-media, and digital/interactive communications.

Establish efficient ways to obtain input and feedback from employees and turn that information and data into actionable strategies.

Oversee enterprise-level internal communications process and protocol playbooks and ensure Market Operations Communications team members understand and follow these; have close collaboration with Markets for enterprise message pull through.

Devise plans to improve enterprise communication effectiveness against KPIs and metrics around content, tone, channel optimization, feedback, and executive visibility.

Monitor and manage relevant internal communications topics and trends (both externally and internally) that could impact our business strategy, associates, and culture.

Content Creation / Storytelling

Lead storytelling and editorial content development to consistently bring Parallel’s corporate narrative to life across multiple external and internal channels.

Mine for storytelling opportunities across the company, then craft and share for both internal and external audiences and across channel.

Create compelling and consistent Parallel business narratives to engage multiple stakeholders.

Lead the development and execution of multi-media content across internal / external enterprise channels.

Draft executive communications and talking points around milestones and business strategy initiatives; ensure the right internal tone of voice for communications to ensure employees connect with the message and culture.

Compose accurate, well-written, impactful business communications materials: key messages/leader talking points, email copy, Q&A, scripts, executive reports, briefing documents, presentations, and fact sheets.

Lead the Workplace (Intranet) strategy and initiatives to ensure high employee and leadership engagement on the platform.

Internal Communications

Provide leadership on targeted communications, including organizational announcement, change management, executive messages, talking points, strategic business updates, and people-related communications.

Support senior-level executives and leaders throughout the company, helping them engage with employees around timely and relevant business information.

In collaboration with HR, IT, legal and other enterprise functions, lead the planning and implementation of executive communications initiatives.

Plan and oversee quarterly Town Halls and executive Webcasts.

Oversee and promote a leader-led process for disseminating company news and updates, support executive and function leadership communication training and preparation.

Oversee internal communications cascade and channel optimization for enterprise announcements.

Develop executive presentations and reports.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING

Bachelor’s Degree required in Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred.

Minimum 12 years of corporate and internal communications experience in a fast-growth organization; public company preferred.

Experience in creating strategic communications plans and campaigns with clear KPIS linked to business goals.

Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment as part of collaborative, matrixed teams across the organization; self-directed, but knows when to seek counsel and input.

Business-minded thinker with superb writing, editing, strategic planning, execution, program management and organizational skills; attention to detail a must.

Confidence in executive visibility and public-facing presentation and communications; comfortable engaging with diverse audiences at all levels.

Operates with a high level of professionalism, urgency, and integrity, including dealing with confidential information.

Must be entrepreneurial and resourceful with a self-starter energy and the ability to work flexible work hours as needed to meet tight deadlines; able to travel as needed domestically.
