Strong Storms Moving Into South Florida Sunday Night – CBS Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Strong storms are expected to impact South Florida between 9:00 p.m. Sunday and 1:00 a.m. Monday.
The severe threat has been downgraded but the entire area could see significant storms with wind gusts over 40 mph.
Isolated storms are developing ahead of the frontal boundary bringing gusty showers and storms. There may even be some small hail and possibly funnel clouds or a brief tornado if the storms become severe.
The frontal boundary will clear by Monday morning.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through Monday and a High Risk of Rip Currents is in place.
After the storms clear Sunday night, a drier, cooler air mass will move in.
Low temperatures will drop to the upper 60s.
Monday and Tuesday will be nice, with dry air and high temperatures in the lower 80s followed by a steady warm up throughout the week.
