When I travel back from Los Angeles, this is THE SPOT!! I love the clean, open environment that they have. It's much more inviting than other locations around town. Zach is the guy to go to with all of your questions. He's THE man, and really knows his stuff! I ALWAYS go to him for suggestions on the latest goodies. He knows what's up.I like gummies at night, so I recommend the Wild Berry Indica Resin gummies! They last a long time. Went here for the first time the other day and couldn’t have had a better experience! The thing that really stood out to me was the staff. Matt, Carly, and Zack all helped me out and they were all so friendly and energetic. I have been to other dispensaries where the people behind the counter don’t have any good suggestions or just seem bored to be there overall and it makes me feel like I’m being a burden for asking questions. Shopping at sunnyside was NOT like this at all. As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed and was encouraged to ask questions. They asked me about what strains I like, gave me informed suggestions and did a great job of describing the differences between the different products. I will definitely be coming back both for the weed and the pleasant experience.

What an experience! I met Hunter at the front door, mile immediately approached and I said I was a beginner. He was a BRILLIANT TEACHER! Not done yet!! Then a wonderful woman named Carly approached and was so informative and soothing. Use this for PTSD and even when I returned to be taught how to use an atomizer…Hunter was to the rescue!! Had a minor ‘hiccup’ with a manager that was a hair tougher than the rest but we got over that speed bump and I will fall in her good graces soon enough. These guys are informed, know how to walk gently and they helped me INCREDIBLY. Guys… and I have one other wonderful woman there(didn’t get her name) who even when I was leaving was so available and so helpful! THANK YOU forKindness and being so informed and gentleWith me. Staff is always extremely friendly and happy to interact with customers and I hardly ever have to wait more than 5 min (this is polar opposite of the trulieve in Fort Lauderdale). Joanna, the manager on service, took my call. I recall speaking to her in the past as she has provided many test results in a timely fashion. During this call, she was pleasant, understanding and forthcoming from the start. While she said she couldn’t promise to help me resolve my issue, she would do her very best. He did a great job making me feel comfortable, explaining the products and making sure I left satisfied (which I did).My last visit was amazing too. I can’t remember the names of the two budtenders that took care of me when I came in the day after the grand opening but they too were great. Most of all, one of the best staffs “in training” in the industry!! Friendly, knowledgeable, smiling. Special Shoutout for Sarah the superstar!! She was whisked away from “The Evil Empire” (you know which company I am talking about) to instill her knowledge about the industry along with her Louisiana charm. As a patient, I feel fortunate to have additional options to help alleviate my pain.

Before this dispensary could open, it was licensed by the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU). In the state of Florida, dispensaries are officially referred to as medical marijuana treatment centers (MMTCs).
Sunnyside is vertically integrated, as are the rest of the MMTC’s. Being vertically integrated means they oversee the entire process from seed to sale. Sunnyside grows their own cannabis plants from seed or cuttings, harvests, processes into a variety of products, packages and distributes within their own network.
Product types and availability can vary from store menu to store menu, depending on demand. If Sunnyside in Oakland Park does not have what you are looking for, there is no legal obligation to stick to a single brand. Your medical marijuana card is universally accepted at any dispensary in Florida.
Purchasing Marijuana Products at Sunnyside
During your first visit, you’ll be required to complete intake forms. This lets the dispensary staff confirm your patient status and see what you were allotted by your medical marijuana doctor.
Upon arrival at this dispensary, you’ll enter a designated waiting area before going into the retail area with staff. The dispensary staff work with you to explain all of the cannabis products available. Budtenders will make recommendations that are based on your doctor’s recommendation.

My expectations have been exceeded yet again. I ran into a terrible issue (which is partially my fault). Before going to the store, I decided to be proactive and reach out to customer service. Joanna, the manager on service, took my call. I recall speaking to her in the past as she has provided many test results in a timely fashion. During this call, she was pleasant, understanding and forthcoming from the start. While she said she couldn’t promise to help me resolve my issue, she would do her very best. In a short amount of time, she resolved my issue. God bless her support and the support of Sunnyside Customer Service. Placed an order online and went in this morning because they had some good deals online. My bud tender Anthony was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He did a great job making me feel comfortable, explaining the products and making sure I left satisfied (which I did).My last visit was amazing too. I can’t remember the names of the two budtenders that took care of me when I came in the day after the grand opening but they too were great. They answered all my questions about the strain/product while giving me helpful tips and insight to making my experience great.I was glad when a Sunnyside opened up less than 10 minutes from my house and am even more glad that they have such a great team running the store. Finally, my favorite dispensary for pain relief within driving distance. Located in a safe area. Never too long of a wait. Good variety of product. Most of all, one of the best staffs “in training” in the industry!! Friendly, knowledgeable, smiling. Special Shoutout for Sarah the superstar!! She was whisked away from “The Evil Empire” (you know which company I am talking about) to instill her knowledge about the industry along with her Louisiana charm. As a patient, I feel fortunate to have additional options to help alleviate my pain.
