The employees bring the business to life.About Surterra itself: I wish they were open till later on Fridays and Saturdays. I wish they were open until 9 or at least 10PM. Miracle Leaf is opened until 12AM on Fridays and Saturdays. I don’t think that’s unreasonable. I also don’t like how Surterra can’t split transactions. If I want to pay $20 in cash and the other $20 via card, I can’t split my payments. I wish they would improve these things. I also dislike how we can’t stack discounts but this is a business and I understand that, however, It’s why I only have them a 4 and not 5. I truly believe the employees are the ones that make the business boom.Love you my Surterra people. Thank you for always giving me such a smooth experience every time I’m there.

After spending a bunch of money at Surterra after years of never going in I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement of quality of flower. However after using my first time discount I shopped on days where they had other sales. I went today to use my second time discount and they told me “You shopped more than 2 times so your discount is voided”. Your company was a bottom dweller for a FLMMJ and you raised the quality of flower while neglecting the customer service aspect. I am so disappointed and won’t be coming back to your establishment. It’s not my responsibility to assume that my discount is no good. No one ever told me while purchasing with store discount it would void my second time discount. I will be spreading the world on Reddit and all social media to stay clear of Surterra.

UPDATE: Went to Deerfield beach location nearly 2yrs later and they still have me banned! OZ, Chad, and Castro are no longer part of the company, though Brandon the manager as usual with this company had no clue. Only thing said was leave the property. I have had my medical card since nearly the beginning of the program in the state. I have visited around 10 or 12 different dispensaries from probably 7 of the companies who participate. All of my experiences have generally been pleasant but today I had such an excellent time from the moment I walked in the door that I needed to write this review.As soon as I came in, Josh at the front desk greeted me warmly with a huge smile. "We've been waiting for you!", he said. I was almost caught off guard by how friendly of a welcome I received, but that tone remained throughout the experience. Melissa came over and asked if I was picking up an order with a big smile too and the three of us were laughing and chatting about random things immediately. Melissa took me over to Mike behind the counter who was just as friendly and welcoming as Josh and her had been a moment earlier. Mike quickly packaged my order while we discussed the strain I was getting and some of the incredible sales Surterra is offering today.This was a simple and quick set of interactions. I couldn't have been in the store for more than 3 or 4 minutes in total but these three team members all made me feel like a VIP the entire time. I only buy flower products so my review is based on that. My perspective is of someone who has shopped at dispensaries in LA, Denver, and Boston. Here on the beach, Surterra seems to cycle the same 4-5 strains and they’re all pretty lackluster. They rarely ever have flower testing over 18% (good luck getting some before it sells out), so they pretty much sell what I deem as Mids. Expensive Mids at that. Their competitors sell higher quality flower for cheaper… which means; I only shop here when they have a sale, and by sale I mean 50% off… or it’s a NO from me, dawg.

Sometimes you buy for a price, you come in next day and its 15 usd more for the same product. Which changes back to 30 sometimes. You never know. Very inconsistent, unproffesional. I have a pretty good idea of what a good dispensary is, how they are operated and the selections they have. Every time I’ve ever been to this place they have little or no flower. If they do have flower it is low THC and overpriced. Not sure who is managing this place but they need to be replaced. Unfortunately this is the only dispensary on the beach.

Well this is one of the 1st dispensaries in Miami. I’ve been a patient in the multiple states I’ve lived in. Unfortunately, I couldn’t give them 5 stars because of a few things. Firstly, be prepared to see no real selection, everything is either gone before you get there or they don’t have it. Second, their soft wax is a joke and shouldn’t even be sold to people. Hot, cold, or even med temp dabs made this wax snap and crackle from the wax itself, it would hit you in the face like hot frying oil. Waste of $60. Lastly, there is no one in store I think that has even used their own products. So, how are they selling these products to people? With the high turn over rate of people as a work force in Miami/Miami Beach, (locals know) you have people in the store that have no knowledge of Cannabis, period. The funny thing, I went to get a gram of sherbert shatter just today, and as I asked for it, I noticed 2 patients behind me speaking spanish, next thing you know my sherbert gram is not in stock all of a sudden as the patients were speaking to front desk? For real? Surterra needs a ton of work, training, and people that have real knowledge of the products on display.

Surterra is vertically integrated, as are the rest of the MMTC’s. Being vertically integrated means they oversee the entire process from seed to sale. Surterra grows their own cannabis plants from seed or cuttings, harvests, processes into a variety of products, packages and distributes within their own network.
Product types and availability can vary from store menu to store menu, depending on demand. If Surterra in Miami Beach does not have what you are looking for, there is no legal obligation to stick to a single brand. Your medical marijuana card is universally accepted at any dispensary in Florida.
Purchasing Marijuana Products at Surterra
During your first visit, you’ll be required to complete intake forms. This lets the dispensary staff confirm your patient status and see what you were allotted by your medical marijuana doctor.
Upon arrival at this dispensary, you’ll enter a designated waiting area before going into the retail area with staff. The dispensary staff work with you to explain all of the cannabis products available. Budtenders will make recommendations that are based on your doctor’s recommendation.

The employees bring the business to life.About Surterra itself: I wish they were open till later on Fridays and Saturdays. I wish they were open until 9 or at least 10PM. Miracle Leaf is opened until 12AM on Fridays and Saturdays. I don’t think that’s unreasonable. I also don’t like how Surterra can’t split transactions. If I want to pay $20 in cash and the other $20 via card, I can’t split my payments. I wish they would improve these things. I also dislike how we can’t stack discounts but this is a business and I understand that, however, It’s why I only have them a 4 and not 5. After spending a bunch of money at Surterra after years of never going in I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement of quality of flower. However after using my first time discount I shopped on days where they had other sales. I went today to use my second time discount and they told me “You shopped more than 2 times so your discount is voided”. Your company was a bottom dweller for a FLMMJ and you raised the quality of flower while neglecting the customer service aspect. I am so disappointed and won’t be coming back to your establishment. It’s not my responsibility to assume that my discount is no good. No one ever told me while purchasing with store discount it would void my second time discount. I will be spreading the world on Reddit and all social media to stay clear of Surterra.

UPDATE: Went to Deerfield beach location nearly 2yrs later and they still have me banned! OZ, Chad, and Castro are no longer part of the company, though Brandon the manager as usual with this company had no clue. Only thing said was leave the property. I have had my medical card since nearly the beginning of the program in the state. I have visited around 10 or 12 different dispensaries from probably 7 of the companies who participate. All of my experiences have generally been pleasant but today I had such an excellent time from the moment I walked in the door that I needed to write this review.As soon as I came in, Josh at the front desk greeted me warmly with a huge smile. "We've been waiting for you!", he said. I was almost caught off guard by how friendly of a welcome I received, but that tone remained throughout the experience. Melissa came over and asked if I was picking up an order with a big smile too and the three of us were laughing and chatting about random things immediately. Melissa took me over to Mike behind the counter who was just as friendly and welcoming as Josh and her had been a moment earlier. Mike quickly packaged my order while we discussed the strain I was getting and some of the incredible sales Surterra is offering today.This was a simple and quick set of interactions. I couldn't have been in the store for more than 3 or 4 minutes in total but these three team members all made me feel like a VIP the entire time. I only buy flower products so my review is based on that. My perspective is of someone who has shopped at dispensaries in LA, Denver, and Boston. Here on the beach, Surterra seems to cycle the same 4-5 strains and they’re all pretty lackluster. They rarely ever have flower testing over 18% (good luck getting some before it sells out), so they pretty much sell what I deem as Mids. Expensive Mids at that. Their competitors sell higher quality flower for cheaper… which means; I only shop here when they have a sale, and by sale I mean 50% off… or it’s a NO from me, dawg.

Sometimes you buy for a price, you come in next day and its 15 usd more for the same product. Which changes back to 30 sometimes. You never know. Very inconsistent, unproffesional. They never know when they are re stocking. I used to buy the pre grounded, it was a good product, which they eventually started to downgraded the quality to the point it was just leaves. You never know in this store. Bad service, nobody knows anything here. All other shops are so good, but far away from my house.

Moving here from Los Angeles (and being a medical patient there) as well as being a recreational customer in WA, CO, NV.. I have a pretty good idea of what a good dispensary is, how they are operated and the selections they have. Every time I’ve ever been to this place they have little or no flower. If they do have flower it is low THC and overpriced. Not sure who is managing this place but they need to be replaced. Unfortunately this is the only dispensary on the beach.

Well this is one of the 1st dispensaries in Miami. I’ve been a patient in the multiple states I’ve lived in. Unfortunately, I couldn’t give them 5 stars because of a few things. Firstly, be prepared to see no real selection, everything is either gone before you get there or they don’t have it. Second, their soft wax is a joke and shouldn’t even be sold to people. Hot, cold, or even med temp dabs made this wax snap and crackle from the wax itself, it would hit you in the face like hot frying oil. Waste of $60. Lastly, there is no one in store I think that has even used their own products. So, how are they selling these products to people? With the high turn over rate of people as a work force in Miami/Miami Beach, (locals know) you have people in the store that have no knowledge of Cannabis, period. The funny thing, I went to get a gram of sherbert shatter just today, and as I asked for it, I noticed 2 patients behind me speaking spanish, next thing you know my sherbert gram is not in stock all of a sudden as the patients were speaking to front desk? For real? Surterra needs a ton of work, training, and people that have real knowledge of the products on display.

When I was sold products with very low active ingredients for my pain in patch form, they refused to exchange the unopened ones for the ones that were needed with better ingredients. I called Maggie many times about this and she kept saying she would call me back and she never did. They cancelled my account and refused to sell me proper healing. Buyer beware that if you are not aware of the 20 percent off of your second purchase, they will not give it to you. I ran in real quickly to a store for my second purchase for something. Nothing really and not given it. I called for a real purchase and they would not honor it even though it was not given. Not good business.
