Sussex realtors attended a national conference in Florida.

Sussex County Association of Realtors 2016 President Frank Serio, President-elect Brigit Taylor, 2016 Delaware Association of Realtors President Bob McVey and SCAOR CEO Merritt Burke spent Nov. 4-7 in Florida undergoing intensive training and participating in programs for realtors.

The 2016 Realtors Conference and Expo, organized by the National Association of Realtors, involved classes and sessions on various topics, including technology, leadership, marketing and productivity.

Every fall, realtors come together for the annual conference, which lasts for four days. The gathering includes more than 100 educational sessions, featuring nationally recognized speakers, trainers and industry experts.

There are also several hundred vendors, presenting the latest innovative tools just for realtors, as well as an unlimited amount of networking opportunities and special events. This year’s theme was “Global Reach, Local Focus.”

The Sussex County Association of Realtors was chartered in 1949 and is a professional trade association with goals of carrying out a program of education and advocacy for real estate in the county. For more information, visit scaor.com.
