WATCH: XFL mystery? Tim Tebow ignores questions about Vince McMahon's football league – SECcountry.com

Tim Tebow has been mentioned as a possibility for Vince McMahon’s XFL reboot, which will happen in 2020.

The chatter makes sense. The former Florida quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL player has worked as an SEC Network analyst lately. He had stints with the Denver Broncos (2010-11), New York Jets (2012), New England Patriots (2013) and Philadelphia Eagles (2015) before starting a career in professional baseball. Recently, he was invited to the New York Mets’ spring training session.

TMZ caught up with Tebow and tried to ask him if he had interest in playing in the XFL. The former quarterback didn’t offer anything at all when asked multiple times about the topic.

Let’s be honest: It would be fun to see Tebow in the XFL.

To succeed, McMahon’s league needs recognizable stars to build and maintain interest. Tebow would be a fantastic addition to the XFL, and it could serve as a beneficial career move for him, if the former Florida star finds the thought of returning to the football field appealing. The fact that he didn’t deny interest in the XFL might mean something. (Then again, perhaps not.)

Stay tuned.
