TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Nick Solak homered and had two hits, and Taylor Widener allowed just two hits over six innings as the Tampa Yankees defeated the Florida Fire Frogs 4-2 on Monday.

Anyelo Gomez struck Anfernee Seymour out with runners on second and third to end the game for his second save of the season.

Widener (4-6) allowed one run while striking out four and walking two to pick up the win.

With the game tied 1-1 in the fifth, Tampa took the lead when Kyle Holder scored on a ground out and Jeff Hendrix hit an RBI single.

After Tampa added a run in the seventh on a home run by Solak, the Fire Frogs cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Carlos Castro hit an RBI single, bringing home Seymour.

Touki Toussaint (1-8) went five innings, allowing three runs and seven hits in the Florida State League game. He also struck out five and walked five.

With the win, Tampa remains undefeated (5-0) against Florida this season.
