Brew Review – English Session Ale by Dunes Brewing

As a beer listed as an English Session Ale, it’s conceptually similar (or pretty much) to an English Mild. It’s funny how these beers have always had one foot in the door of the Florida craft beer community.

It’s not going to overtake the IPA by any stretch of the imagination. But it’s always there, lurking around the corner, and somebody always seems to have a great one to release.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had it, but the good people at Dunes Brewing were able to give me some of their English Session Ale (Session Ale, 4.2% ABV) when I was there to record our recently released episode of the Florida Beer Podcast.

It pours a medium copper color with a nice, light malt aroma. That aroma has a touch of lemon, a touch of leather, a nice sprig of hops, and a base of sourdough. It’s such a great bouquet.
