HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — RISE Dispensary in Halfmoon will no longer only be selling medical-use cannabis. Starting on Saturday, June 29, the dispensary will be selling adult-use, or recreational, cannabis for those 21 years or older.

To celebrate the first day of adult-use cannabis sales, RISE Dispensary is having a grand opening event on Saturday. The event includes doorbuster deals, bagels from Broad Street Bagel Co., DJ sets, a live radio broadcast with FLY 92.3, vouchers to businesses Spoon and Whisk, J&S Bakery and Caputo’s Pizza, and lastly a magic show with Mentalist Dustin Dean.
RISE Dispensary said it will be donating its profits from the event to non-profit organization Hicks Strong which provides veterans, active-duty service members and their families with free mental health services. Starting June 29, medical patients will also have exclusive access to roll-thru order pickup and delivery services.

RISE Dispensary is open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. It’s located in the plaza at 1675 Route 9 in Halfmoon.
