TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Video shared online shows a potential tornado seen from St. Augustine as severe weather caused damage throughout the state on Thursday.
The video was captured by Lindsey Chilton and shows dark clouds moving in the distance above a neighborhood in the Picolata area.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue shared photos of damage to buildings nearby from a potential tornado, officials said on Facebook.
The possible tornado hit the World Gold Village resort, fire rescue said.
“Units on scene reported “no major structural damage,” the department said.
One person sustained minor injuries but was able to take themselves to the hospital, according to fire rescue.
