About Sandhenge in Treasure Island

All it takes is several tons of sand, plenty of water, and lots of imagination to build a masterpiece – at least for the master sculptors who return to Treasure Island for Sandhenge a sand sculpting exhibition November 19-22, 2020.

The exhibition is an invitational, and has been created to maintain the tradition of hosting epic sand creations in Treasure Island in a safe and responsible way during 2020 and amidst the Covid19 pandemic. Typically, Sanding Ovations is one of the largest masters competitions in the United States.

Schedule

  • Event Friday & Saturday 10am-10pm
  • Event Thursday & Sunday 10am-6pm
  • Thursday– Sunday Sanding Ovations Fall Fly Display 10am – 5pm
  • Friday– Saturday Sanding Ovations Late Night 6pm-10pm (lighted displays, DJ and night kite flys)
  • Saturday Fireworks 8pm

Enjoy the spread out beach food court, arts and crafts marketplace and three days of live entertainment. Sanding Ovations Presents Sandhenge is a must-see sculpting exhibition while visiting Treasure Island, the Sand Sculpture Capital of Florida.
